Taco Bell fans rejoice! Fast food chain bringing back potatoes

Potatoes are returning to the Taco Bell menu.The fast food chain said former items featuring potatoes, the Cheese Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco, will rejoin the menu starting March 11.The offerings were removed from the Taco Bell menu in recent months, along with staples like the Mexican Pizza, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.Since then, Taco Bell has added some items back, such as Nacho Fries and the Bacon Club Chalupa.The chain said it will also partner will Beyond Meat to create a plant-based meat option it will test in the next year.“The return of our beloved potatoes is just the first step in showing our fans the strong continued commitment to vegetarian we are making this year,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s global chief food innovation officer, in a statement Thursday.Capitol riots aftermath: Black and white still define America as Biden prepares to take officeEnd of an era: Costco will soon close photo centers in all of its clubsFollow Brett Molina on Twitter: @brettmolina23.
