Verizon to launch its own Visa credit card later this month
Add Verizon to the list of companies rolling out their own credit card.The telecommunications giant announced Monday it will launch a Verizon Visa card on June 26. The card will work just like any other credit card, but include a rewards program featuring Verizon Dollars users can redeem toward their monthly bill payments or Verizon purchases.The card will also be the only credit card eligible for use on Auto Pay, a feature allowing customers to have their monthly bill payments automatically withdrawn.Card owners will earn Verizon dollars on every purchase:4% on gas and grocery store/delivery purchases3% on dining/delivery and curbside pick-up purchases2% on Verizon purchases1% on all other purchases.Summer interrupted: Teens struggle to find work, independence in a summer defined by COVID-19Business and branding: Does it really matter if Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben get retired?The company says the card will not include annual fees, and there are no caps on rewards. Users can apply through Verizon’s website or the My Verizon app.Verizon isn’t the only company to enter the credit card space with its own offering.
