But let’s face it: They’re also pretty expensive. Needless to say, it’s almost always worth waiting for a good deal on one of these top-notch models before taking the plunge. And luckily, Dyson is offering one right now on its popular V7 Absolute cordless stick vacuum.Get expert shopping advice delivered to your phone. Plus, when you order, you’ll get to choose up to $75 worth of free tools with the device, including two for spot cleaning and an accessory bag or two for cleaning upholstery and hard-to-reach spaces and an accessory bag. While we haven’t tested the Dyson V7 Absolute, we did test the newer V8 model ($449.99), calling it the “near the pinnacle of cordless vacuum technology.” It was able to pick up 88% of the dirt we put down for it in our tests. Aside from a longer, 40-minute battery life to the V7’s reported 30, slightly more powerful max suction (115 AW versus 100 AW) and a slightly larger dustbin, the V8 is virtually identical to the V7 and comes with many of the same useful attachments. The V7, however, is not only cheaper, it also takes less time to recharge (3.5 hours versus five) and weighs it at almost a half a pound less (just over 5 pounds), making it easier to lift and clean ceiling areas. Customers certainly seem to like it: It has a 4.3-star rating from more than 350 Dyson shoppers. Both machines feature a powerful, direct-drive cleaner head that can pick up dirt that’s been ground deep into flooring or carpets. These vacuums also feature a bin that allows for easily emptying via a pull lever. The washable filter lasts a lifetime, according to the company, so they’ll be no more buying replacement filters every month—or even year—either. That alone is reason enough to jump on board! In addition to the aforementioned bonus tools, you’ll get a ton of other accessories that will make cleaning a variety of surfaces a breeze with your purchase of the V7. There’s a roller cleaner head with soft, woven nylon and anti-static carbon fiber for hard floors, a motorhead, a mini motorhead for tight spaces (such as a car), a mini soft dusting brush for gently removing dust from items (like screens and keyboards), a combination tool to easily switch between surfaces and a crevice tool for cleaning around edges and getting into narrow spaces. You’ll also get a docking station and charger. As a longtime fan of Dyson vacuums (I own both a canister and a cordless stick model from the brand), I can also attest that it’s super-easy to switch from one attachment to the next, with each one clicking into place. I have always told friends that Dysons are worth the money, not only for the powerful suction that can handle all kinds of messes but also for the sleek and sexy design and intuitive operation. And thanks to this deal, you can get all of that and more—for less. Need help finding products? Sign up for our weekly newsletter.
