Huawei, Bodyform and HSBC top Marketing Week Masters awards shortlist

Huawei, HSBC, Bodyform, Greenpeace, The Guardian, Elvie and Diageo are among the brands leading the way with multiple nominations at this year’s Marketing Week Masters awards.

HSBC and Huawei are leading the way with five nominations each. HSBC is nominated in the Brand Purpose and Financial Services categories for its ‘We are not an island’ campaign by JWT. It is also shortlisted for Digital Transformation for HSBC.com, Financial Services again for its global rebrand and Customer Experience.

Huawei is nominated for its StorySign initiative in the Mobile and Apps Marketing, Telecoms, Energy and Utilities, and Brand Innovation categories. Its UK marketing team is also up for Marketing Team of the Year, while Huawei Presents Unfinished Symphony is nominated in Branded Experiences and Events.

Elsewhere, Bodyform owner Essity has four nominations for its ‘Viva La Vulva’ campaign and one for its Cushelle brand. Greenpeace’s ‘Rang-tan’ campaign, Diageo, The Guardian and Elvie have all been shortlisted across three categories.

For the coveted Brand of the Year award, powered by YouGov , five brands have been shortlisted – Cadbury, Greggs, Ikea, Nationwide and Netflix.

Accenture Interactive, AMVBBDO, Mother, VCCP and The&Partnership have been nominated for Agency of the Year.

Marketing Week editor Russell Parsons says: “The quality and quantity of entries this year was the best yet so it is a real achievement to make it onto the shortlist. The depth and breadth of innovation, creativity and effectiveness on show is a real testament to the talent in the industry. Huge congratulations to those that have been nominated.”

The shortlist was decided by a jury of senior marketers from some of the UK’s biggest businesses. This year, our expert panel of judges includes Meghan Farren, CMO of KFC UK & Ireland, easyJet CMO Lis Blair, Ali Jones, customer director at The Co-operative Group, David Wheldon, CMO at RBS, and E.ON’s director of marketing and communications Belinda Moore.
