New members, who join in July at 7-eleven.com/7rewards or through the app, will also receive the mobile coupon that expires July 31.There’s a limit of one free Slurpee per member, available at participating U.S. locations while supplies last. Hawaii locations are excluded.Freebies and giveaways changed during the pandemicMany restaurants have changed or canceled giveaways during the pandemic to prevent crowds. Dairy Queen canceled Free Cone Day 2021, its annual first day of spring freebie, and IHOP flipped its National Pancake Day promotion from a one-day free pancake fest into a month-long promotion.While 7-Eleven changed its birthday giveaway, it added a new initiative during the pandemic, which it plans to continue this year. Like last year, 7-Eleven plans to donate a million free meals to Feeding America, which is considered the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. “While we’re celebrating our birthday month, we are also mindful that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a lasting impact on many families,” Marissa Jarratt, the chain’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said in the release. “We know how important it is to come together and help the communities we serve in times of trouble.”7-Eleven deals for rewards membersIn addition to the free small Slurpee offer, the chain announced additional promotions for loyalty members offered on the 7-Eleven app in July:For a limited time at participating stores, small Slurpee drinks are $1 each in new Slurpee stay cold cups.All roller grill items, including Big Bite hot dogs, taquitos, Cheeseburger Bite rollers, Buffalo chicken rollers and eggrolls, are $1 each in July.At participating stores July 11, 7Rewards members can get colorful birthday cake doughnuts for 50 cents each.With 7-Eleven delivery, get a free small Slurpee delivered July 11 and delivery is free July 10-11.
