For those of us who can’t afford a real cleaning service each month, robot vacuums are the next best thing. These little helpers will keep your home looking spick and span so you don’t have to do the back-breaking work of cleaning dirt, pet hair, and dust bunnies off your floors all on your own. Of course, you’ll have to be willing to spend a decent chuck of change on one, as prices for robot vacs start around $200, and can exceed over $1,000. Luckily iRobot, the maker of the legendary Roomba vacuums, is bestowing upon us some serious savings in honor of Labor Day.

Right now through September 7, you can score some amazing discounts on select Roombas and Braavas (their line of robot mops) both on the iRobot website, and on Amazon if you prefer to shop there. You can save up to $150 on certain models, so now’s honestly a great time to buy if you want a “DJ Roomba,” in the words of Tom Haverford, to start scooting around your home and doing your chores for you.

For instance, the best robot vacuum we’ve ever tested, the iRobot Roomba i7+, which usually retails for a hefty $1,099, has been lowered to $949. Though still expensive, the i7+ is unlike any other robot vacuum on the market. It’s the only one able to empty itself out for starters, can pick up 10 grams of dirt, and can be connected to WiFi and controlled via Alexa and Google Home. Reasons like these are why is scored a perfect 10 in our lab testing, which almost never happens. Though the i7+ is our top pick, ahead we’ve compiled a list of some of the other options on sale, and what to expect from them.

  • Roomba 675 – Though the price for this vacuum is a bit higher than what it usually retails for, this is one of their most popular entry-level models. If you’re looking for an affordable option that still has all the basic functionalities like dirt sensors and intelligent navigation, it’s a solid choice. ($279 on Amazon)
  • Braava M6 (Save $50)-  This is the first time this robot mop is on sale, which is exciting in and of itself. The M6 has a decent 3.4-star rating on Amazon, and should be able to tackle simple spills and grime on your floors with its mopping pads and jet spray. It was released this year, so some reviewers noted a few issues with streaking and it navigating back to the dock, which are likely to be resolved with future models. ($449 on Amazon)
  • Roomba 960 (Save $60)- If you’re looking for a Wi-FI connected Roomba but can’t afford the i7 series, their 900 models are a great middle-ground choice. Though we haven’t tested the 960 quite just yet, the 980 is quite similar and was our top pick when we tested the best robot vacuums for pet hair. With its powerful suction and multi-surface brushes, it’s an ideal choice for homes with pets. ($500 on iRobot)

No matter which Roomba you decide on, iRobot is a trustworthy brand that is known for their high-quality craftsmanship and excellent customer service. There’s a reason why “Roomba” has become synonymous with robot vacuum in recent years; their popularity is undeniable, and anyone who owns one seems incredibly fortunate for their Roombas making their lives so much easier.
